Banksy
Lol.
Honestly, I didn’t enjoy this movie as much as I feel I’m supposed to. And not even in the ultra-girly, don’t-you-want-to-be-like-Holly-Golightly-with-your-cigarette-holder-and-your-jewelry-loving sense, but just in a general, classic sense. It was just sort of “meh” for me. Mickey Rooney’s Japanese landlord was just grating. I wasn’t incredibly impressed with George Peppard. There were some funny moments, I guess, and I like “Moon River”, but other than that…meh.
I feel the same. I couldn’t even get through the entire thing.
I seriously just CANNOT with characters that ramble on and on with this grating stream of consciousness throughout the length of an entire movie and be expected to not want to strangle them. I felt the same with with Katharine Hepburn’s character in Bringing Back Baby - it was just like, CAN YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP FOR ONE SECOND? Little cinematic pet peeve of mine. I don’t get how that character device is endearing at all.
