Do you guys ever think about what would have happened if Mike Todd didn’t die? I think about this shit all the damn time.

LOL YES It’s like ok well would Elizabeth and Richard still been together at some point? How would that have played out? Would they have done Cleopatra and have met there or some other way? Would Mike have been in Eddie’s shoes instead of Eddie? THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS.
My friend is convinced that Paul Newman wouldn’t be as big as he became if James Dean had lived. Which makes me think about how that scenario would have played out. And how would Jimmy’s life had played out.
Or is everyone’s life like Final Destination?! If they hadn’t died in their accidents, was Death going to find them anyways really soon?!

I KNOW LIFE IS SO CRAZY LIKE THAT. I mean, Elizabeth and Richard were soul mates. And crazy things happened so they could meet up and adore each other. Granted I’m not Atheistic and do believe that certain things happen for a reason, but it’s crazy to talk about.
Monty Clift actually made a note of the fact that Paul Newman was filling up the void James Dean left! Which is pretty succinct coming from Monty given his disdain of James Dean. People say that had Monty died in his famous car accident, he’d in ~legendary status~ along Marilyn Monroe and what not because he would have died at the peak of his fame/beauty/intrigue, but instead everyone witnessed his decade long slow decline into obscurity, so his death was, sadly, nbd by the time 1967 rolled around BUT WHAT IF IT WAS JAMES DEAN WHO HAD THE SLOW DECLINE ISN’T THAT WEIRD TO THINK ABOUT omg I’m going to stop typing now
